There is no doubt about it... ALS is a cruel disease.  I have crossed paths with individuals who lost loved ones to ALS... @Todd Hunter in North Carolina, I thought about the loss of your father, the great "Catfish" Hunter, as I initially accepted the challenge to ride 62 miles and committed to raise funds for the ALS Association - Golden West Chapter.  @Rodney Staggs, I will also be riding in memory of your beloved sister-in-law, Jan Giles, who lost her life at age 50 to this evil disease.  

I am grateful and proud to represent Cytokinetics, along with the rest of our team, where patients are our North Star.  We are committed to developing potential medicines that may improve the healthspan of people living with cardiovascular and neuromuscular diseases of impaired muscle function. 

My wish is that one day, sooner than later, those who are diagnosed with ALS will have the ability to flip the bird to this brutal disease once and for all.  NEVER GIVE UP!
