Team Triskelion rides to honor the memory of Maura Doherty Demko who lost the battle with ALS in June of 2022. 

Team Triskelion is named after the ancient symbol of Triskele. The Triskele symbolizes the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth; the unity of mental, physical, and spiritual self; as well as the domains of earth, water, and sky. Maura and our family first saw the symbol in Ireland at Newgrange on the winter solstice many years ago. The Triskele served as a symbol of both strength and acceptance through the ALS journey. My sister, niece and I got our first tattoo together in May of 2022 and of course we picked the Triskelion!
