Thank you for visiting the TEAM XJ page. I’m making an assumption you are doing so because:
1. My Team name ‘amused’ you, or,
2. You might know me and want to help raise funds for ALS research, or,
3. You just stumbled onto this page.
Friends in my favorite hobby know me as XJ. That answers #1.
On to #2 and #3.
ALS is that devastating disease for which there is no cure. My son-in-law, Jon, lived with it for 6 1/2 years.
There is one belief that ALS is contracted genetically. Maybe. But that does not account for the fact that my sister-in-law who has a zero genetic connection to Jon was diagnosed with ALS four years ago [in reality, she diagnosed herself and the MDs confirmed it]. Her ALS journey lasted 1 1/2 years.
Combating ALS and searching for a cure has had innumerable twists and turns throughout the years. Some research showed promise only to be ruled out. More is needed.
Now, I would like to toss out an idea that I came up with after reading an online article about an antibiotic that kills “super bugs.” It was discovered using AI - Artificial Intelligence. If AI can do that might researchers tap into AI to find a cure or a control for ALS? Ten-to-one someone else has already thought of that and the “gears are turning.”
So, family, friends, join my team. There’s a button on this page to do that [VIEW MY TEAM].
There is also a button for you to make a donation [DONATE NOW].
From the guy who, with encouragement from his wife, designed the 2021 ALS Walk t-shirt, thanks for visiting, and in the words of my USC graduate son-in-law, FIGHT ON!
