I Remember her is so many ways

• When I hear someone laugh, she was always laughing

• When I hear the birds, she never told me she hated bird figurines and I never realized all the gifts I bought her had bird themes.

• I remember her every night, when I'd sit in the front room and we'd talk. Ok, she'd talk and I'd listen. I used to laugh about that, because I never knew how much I needed that.

• But mostly I when I'm holding my granddaughter, penny would have been so over the moon happy to be able to hold Grayson.

Why I Walk

 Because ALS "Inhales deeply" and it took her away from me. I'm walking so that some day when someone's wife, mother, father, husband, son or daughter is given a diagnoses of ALS, that they can also be told, "But don't worry, we have a cure".

In case you didn't know, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure. 

A person with ALS becomes physically locked-in as the disease progressively paralyzes the body. The key to UNLOCK ALS begins with us.
