We are excited to see you Sunday for the WALK TO DEFEAT ALS! We are so grateful for your support.

• Please try to arrive at 9am so we have time to hang out before event begins. 
• When you arrive, skip the regular check in and go to the gated VIP Village where our TEAM KENNY tent is located. You can’t miss it as there will be a large banner with our name! 
• We hope to get a team photo before 10am.
• Note that all walkers (kids too) need to be registered, but you can compete that at the event if easier.

• Parking Structure Lot 7 (P7) is off of Sunset Blvd and Westwood Plaza and costs $15

YNWA — YOU’LL NEVER WALK ALONE

Welcome to Team Kenny! This year we're putting together a team to raise funds and further awareness for the ALS COMMUNITY in support of our beloved KENNETH MITCHELL. 

As you know Kenny and his family have been living with ALS for over 5 years. During the enormous challenges and incredible loss we have also witnessed grace, humor, inspiration and courage. This event is a great opportunity to show further support for Kenny and family by joining them on the WALK TO DEFEAT ALS LOS ANGELES or make a DONATION in their honor to the ALS ASSOCIATION in hopes to find a cure. 

Please join Ken and his wife Susan, daughter Lilah, son Kal, and brother Sean on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2023 at 9AM at the UCLA Wilson Plaza. All ages are encouraged to join! And all are welcome to join the team regardless of whether you can make the event!

WHY WE WALK - WE NEED YOUR HELP 

Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries. 

That’s why we’re participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS®. To bring hope. To raise awareness. To provide resources and services to families free of charge. To help unlock the mystery of ALS and find the key to effective treatments and cures. Please join us.

ABOUT ALS 

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. 

ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need.
